# Changelog

> What changed in the Proof API, the embed script, the Node SDK and the MCP server.

Changes to `/v1` are additive: new endpoints, new optional parameters, new fields in responses and new event types. Your code should ignore fields and event types it doesn't know. A change that would break existing code ships as a new version, with at least 12 months in which both work. See [Versioning](/reference/api/overview/#versioning).

## v1

The first release of the Proof API.

- **REST API** at `api.proof.exalto.ai/v1`: users, documents, members, sessions, agents, agent requests, seals and reader requests, webhook endpoints, and platform settings with your own agent tools, in test and live mode.
- **Embed script** `v1.js` and `@exalto/proof-embed` 1.0: the editor with suggestions, comments, the live seal and check-ins, and presence settings, framed or in a window.
- **Node SDK** `@exalto/proof` 1.0.
- **MCP server** at `mcp.proof.exalto.ai/<slug>` (`/<slug>/test` in test mode) for each platform, with the same document, editing, suggestion and comment tools as Proof of Thought's own agents, and your own tools beside them.
- **Webhooks** for threads, mentions, documents, seals and agents, signed with `Proof-Signature`. Suggestion and missed check-in events are reserved, not yet sent.
- **Seal method** v0.2, the same method Proof of Thought seals with.
